Update on Adam

Here is a short update on Adam's state.

After he had this stroke we really thought to lose him, he had an emergency surgery and was in a coma for three days. But on Monday he woke up again.

The left side of his body is still paralyzed but the docs are carefully optimistic that this will disappear in a few months. He will still be here in hospital for the next two weeks to recover from the surgery, then he needs to go for rehabilitation several weeks, the center is in Potsdam close to Berlin. Yes I know what you think now but don't worry, they will transport him by helicopter this time. We have to do this because otherwise his insurance wouldn't pay for the stay. He makes big steps in recovery every day, he still has big problems with speaking though.

His friend Finn from Hamburg will visit him today, that will cheer him up a lot, although he hates that someone sees him in this state. He asks for his laptop again and again but the docs don't allow it yet, he still needs more rest but maybe in one week if progress continues.

He wants to say thank you again for all the  well wishes and emails and posts on your blogs, he is really overwhelmed. He will answer every single post as soon as possible. 

I will give you another update next week, hopefully with more progresses of Adam's condition.
